iMail help

Below you will find various assistance topics for the iMail email program.

iMail settings for your email program
Recent changes to the emailing service include using Declude to scan all your emails for files that have viruses in them before they get to you. To accommodate these changes we have moved the mail program to it's own server which should help to handle the new features with better efficiency.

There are a couple changes that you should review in your email program:

POP/Incoming mail : mail.yourDomain.com

SMTP: smtp.yourDomain.com

User: use your full email address such as "name@yourDomain.com"

Next please select the My server requires Authentication checkbox and use "same settings as incoming mail" on the subsequent page.

iMail Online Mail Interface
The new online mail interface allows you to check your e-mail messages from almost any computer with Internet access. To access your online mail interface, type in the address http://mail.your domain name:8383 into a Web browser, for example: http://mail.sgdesign.net:8383.

When you bring up the mail interface, you will need to type the user name and password for the account from which you wish to retrieve mail.

Webmail Login

After you logon, you will be able to access all the functions of the account. If you logon with your administrator username, you will also be able to administer the users. However, you will not be able to read their mail.

Administration Controls are located in the upper right corner of the Webmail window after you gain entry. Select "Web Admin":

Admin Area

You can then change your password and administer other features of your account. If your account is the administrator account you can also manage all other email accounts in your Domain. This includes changing passwords and adding or removing accounts.
